Question: How often do I need a Cold-PlusTM treatment?
Answer: Once treated with Cold-PlusTM, you're A/C, Refrigeration, or Chiller will never need another treatment. It is a one-time only treatment that lasts the life of the compressor.
Question: My local A/C contractor is not familiar with Cold-PlusTM?
Answer: Cold-PlusTM is new to the HVAC marketplace. Green Products LLC can furnish licensed technicians through its' selling arm, Green Products LLC, or can instruct your local AC company as to the proper procedures concerning the
Cold-PlusTM injection.
Question: How long does it take for a Cold-PlusTM injection?
Answer: Green Products LLC recommends that prior to injection, that the AC system be maintained to ensure maximum operation, and that data points be measured at 12 data points. Timeframe should be 30-60 minutes, and the homeowner/business owner must be present as the thermostat must be in the "on" position during the injection.
Question: Will Cold-PlusTM void a manufacturer's warranty?
Answer: No. In 1975, the U. S. Congress passed the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a federal law governing consumer product warranties. It affects both the rights of consumers and the obligations of warrantor's underwritten warranties, and concerning Cold-PlusTM means that the manufacturer of your home air conditioner is not permitted to void the warranty because of aftermarket use of an additive manufactured by someone other than the equipment manufacturer. Unless the Federal Trade Commission accepts a waiver stating that the warranted item will only function properly with a named product. This Act applied to residential instances only.
Commercially, a manufacturer may choose to void the warranty, so warranties concerning commercial transactions should be thoroughly checked out before
Cold-PlusTM injections take place. But remember, the net result of Cold-PlusTM utilization is to make your system better: it will reduce repairs and lengthen the life expectancy of the compressor.
Question: Is there a warranty?
Answer: Yes. A 1 year limited warranty from the date of the Cold-PlusTM treatment to include the replacement parts and labor for any failure of a compressor less than 8 years old.
A 90 day limited warranty from the date of the Cold-PlusTM treatment to include the replacement parts and labor for any failure of a compressor 8 years or older.
Question: Who performs the Cold-PlusTM installation?
Answer: Pursuant to EPA regulations, the Cold-PlusTM injection and pre-maintenance must be performed by a licensed HVAC professional. Prior to the Cold-PlusTM injection, your A/C system should receive a thorough maintenance to ensure that it will be running as efficiently as possible based on the age and condition of the unit.
Question: Will I see a reduction in my energy/utility bill?
Answer: You should see an overall reduction in kilowatt usage, which will result in a lower energy/utility bill. Variables such as age of the compressor, how long the copper tubes have been in place, and how well maintained the system's been may affect the degree of savings. Additionally, a business treating both an A/C system as well as Refrigeration system should see a considerably greater kilowatt savings/utility reduction than a business just treating their A/C system.
Question: Many additives on the market for HVAC systems make similar claims. Why is Cold-PlusTM different?
Answer: Most of these products are PROA's (Polarized Refrigerant Oil Additives). Unlike these other products, Cold-PlusTM is not an additive but is a "treatment". It is a refrigerant enhancer, compressor treatment, and system cleaner that is unique to the other products currently on the market.
Question: Will Cold-PlusTM chemically interact with an Acid Neutralizer if one is introduced into a system containing Cold-PlusTM?
Answer: If a compressor has been burned out and an Acid Neutralizer was used, the effects of Cold-PlusTM on a system would not be compromised.
Question: Ultimately, what benefits will I see from the use of Cold-PlusTM?
Answer: Your system should operate more smoothly and efficiently, and quieter, giving you peak performance in fewer operating minutes per day. It will cost less to operate, saving you money, monthly, for the remaining life of your system. You should experience fewer repairs, and the life of the compressor will increase.
